RODBUK Cracow Open Research Data Repository is the first repository in Poland to implement a distributed operational model. Each participating institution manages its own instance of the system, while all research data are seamlessly integrated and accessible through a unified aggregator.

RODBUK offers a publicly available platform for depositing research datasets, in alignment with Open Science principles. Its core mission is to collect, preserve, and provide open access to a wide range of research data generated by scholars throughout their academic activities.

RODBUK enables the collection and dissemination of research data across various disciplines in accordance with the FAIR principles. Each published dataset is assigned a persistent DOI identifier, making the data easy to find and identify, which in turn promotes wider dissemination and visibility.

Research data deposited in RODBUK will be stored long-term on dedicated servers of the Academic Computer Centre CYFRONET AGH, ensuring the highest standards of data security and protection against loss.

The repository has been operational since 2023. Technical support is provided by the Academic Computer Centre CYFRONET AGH.

In April 2025, RODBUK was awarded the CoreTrustSeal certification for trusted repositories.
