Silesian University of Technology does not have an Open Access policy in place. No one has been appointed at the Silesian University of Technology to act as an Open Access officer. Despite this, an ordinance amending the activities of the university repository RePolis (https://www.polsl.pl/rjo1-bps/wp-content/uploads/sites/341/2022/12/M.2022.536.Z.106.pdf) was created last year. Materials deposited into RePolis are made available under a CC BY 3.0 licence, and doctoral theses are made available under the terms of a licence agreement (either on the Internet or the academic network). Materials published by units of the SUT (including the SUT Publishing House) are also made available on the basis of a licence agreement or, in the absence of such an agreement, are made available on the library network on the basis of permitted use.
